Super Morse Code RPG
Rated 4 / 5 stars April 18, 2011
Intuitive!
What an ingenious way to control a player characters actions! Of course space bar RPGs have been done before, but I've never seen one driven to such complexity before. When sending out Morse code to your soldier, it feels as though you're actually relaying orders during an era that had very limited technology. Also a lot of the minor touches are worth a giggle or two (E.G. If you run away during the first fight on Normandy, your character scampers back into the ship, goes all the way back to America, and is ridiculed by the whole country, and gets a funny expose in the national newspaper.) Anyways, the implementation of the game is great, the visuals are decent, and the music was varied and fit the game. Overall it was a fun game to occupy someones time for 15 minutes or so.
Pros: Interesting concept, good gameplay, and decent visuals.
Cons: The bugged store (really a pain when fighting lvl 2 Hitler), and little variety in enemy character models.

5/5 (Just couldn't help myself!)
Heh, and to think, I was concerned about no one ever seeing the little Easter Egg Des put in for running away from the first battle. It's definitely one of my favorite parts!

Nice attempt.
I'm sympathetic to you being a beginner to flash making, and I'll try not to be too harsh on something you obviously put some effort and time into making.
First off; try to make your menu screen a little more legible. Until you become adept at using stylized script, trying just using good old print, nothing wrong with that! I found it hard to read some of the instructions because they were written in cursive, and some of the text throughout was a little hit and miss in my opinion. Also, try to be more clear in your instructions (I.E. To avoid being shot/hit by harrier bomb, point gun behind barrier.) A lot of the game play was off as well; For example, the bomb at the beginning is impossible to hit, sprayed it several times with no effect, merely a game over. Try getting enemies to switch up attack routines, instead of always scrawling from the left side, it became repetitive motion of; Kill bad guys on screen, duck to avoid being shot by off screen bad guys, kill bad guys, reload, etc. (Also, there is never any additional harriers?)
The actual art was lackluster overall, but with improvement could be decent.
Pros: Controls are simplistic
"Pick up and play" (No learning curve)
Multiple sound tracks + No loop over flash
Cons: Game play uneventful
Somewhat vague instructions
Very simplistic game
Sound effects repetitive/annoying
Script sometimes illegible
Visual quality overall sub-par
Remember; never give up! Becoming a good flash artist is a series of trial and error, and learning from your mistakes. Perhaps some of your friends could help you with the art as well? Collaboration is a great way to make some quality flashes! I look forward to more flashes from you in the future!
Good Luck,

Ha ha, thanks, I won't give up! XD
I realize the visual quality sucks, but I did the best I could with a mouse (I can't afford any hardware to help with that). Though, to be perfectly honest, it mainly sucks because I was such a noob I didn't even realize that object drawing was turned on and I thought Flash was just gliching up. Pretty sad right?
I'll work on the sounds in the future, but my options are kinda limited
The bomb isn't supposed to be shot, but it was my fault for not making that clearer
I'll take your suggestion to use regular text in the future
and I will modify enemy behavior.
Thank You for weighing in!
The Squirrel Game

Well executed!
The controls were simple enough for the casual gamers to get oriented quickly, but the environments challenging enough to keep them playing. While the game itself may not have been difficult for some, the smooth animation, upbeat background music, and classic game play would be enough to entertain anyone long enough to complete the game. I particularly enjoyed the ending cut-scene, which felt almost like a throwback to the old 90's era game endings.
Cons: Length of the game
Pros: Gameplay, learning curve, animation, music.

Smooth Beat!
Excellent rhythm and rhyme! I like the simple and clean beat you've got playing, and your words are powerful. Nice to hear a rapper that doesn't have to scream out his lyrics for them to have bite.
Overall, great piece!

Nice!
It's nice to have an original piece like this to listen to once in a while. Its fresh, and has a sort of classical feel to it, while at the same time reminding me of the sound track to an old school video game. For something put together from a random sound pack, great job!
(P.S. I feel you on the bit about trying to name things, lmao!)
Thanks for the thoughts. I don't try to make my songs that sound like something that should go into an oldskool video game. They just come out that way. I get that about all my songs. I played a lot of games back in the day so I guess the themes are still stuck in my subconscience.

Mesmerizing
As with all Weebl toons, this is incredibly catchy. I find myself watching the endless loop it creates, until it grows gradually out of sync, then goes back into sync because I've watched it for so long. *Touches Upper Lip* Whaddya know? I've grown a mustache...

Pretty funny.
While the material is a little funny, the flash is very long. Next time, try adding a pause/play or scene select feature. Overall the actual visual portion of the flash in rather gimmicky, just using MK sprites and basic manipulation features (enlarge, spin, etc). That being said, the humor portion of the flash did make me laugh, if for nothing more than the gamer's rage alone.
Keep up the good work!

A good first try
The flash was fairly good overall, but you need to work on your sound effect placement, such as in the first short, the music playing in the background, skipped at every frame change. The animaton was definetly done well, and it showed a good deal of effort on your part. Although you may want to work on your humor, it seems rather dry. Other than that, you show alot of potential as a flash artist.
